I think Thanksgiving is such a gentle holiday…it is the calm before the storm called Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa. But, somehow our classrooms never seem to be calm, do they? We rush from one week to the next planning lessons, scheduling conferences, completing endless paperwork, attending mandatory faculty meetings, changing bulletin boards, and forever grading papers.
My goal at Chalk Dust & Dreams is to do some of the behind the scenes work for you, help you get organized, put what you need at your fingertips, and allow you to focus on your students and your standards.
Thanksgiving is a terrific time to focus on kindness and gratitude. You will find some ways to do that at the Chalk Dust & Dreams Thanksgiving page. The Thanksgiving Unit is packed full of activities that include writing, math problem solving, building relationships, and more. I hope you will check it out!

So, Happy Thanksgiving from me to you. Take a moment to live in the moment, count blessings and find your gratitude. Now is the time to focus on family, friends, food, and fun!
